If you're like most business owners, January flew by and February didn't slow down a bit. So, here we are - 3 months into the new year and that list of "things" that you wanted to do for your business just keeps on growing. The Internet moves at the speed of light or faster. So when it comes to working on our businesses, most of us get stuck working on what others deem a priority - instead of focusing on what grows our business, we start working for our business. Any business consultant will tell you this is a bad trap to fall into.
Other people's priorities
Look at email for an example. It's just a huge list of other peoples priorities. I mean, unless you email yourself things that you want to get done, it's nothing but a list of requests, tasks and irritating spam. How in the world are you going to start focusing on your business if everyone wants a piece of your time? It's easy - just do it. Turn email off. You don't have to kill it for the whole day, but set aside time for email and time for work - don't mix the two.
TGIF for EBWAY
Here at EBWAY, we have a rule. Friday's are "EBWAY" days. Everyone in the office has to do something for EBWAY. Whether it's finishing that blog post, making a video or adding a new web page to the website, everything we do on Friday is dedicated to EBWAY. If that means we're late on a project, so be it. If it means we miss out on an opportunity, so be it. Without a strict plan to actually do things for our own company, I doubt we ever would. The results have been fantastic! We find ourselves doing a better job for clients and having more energy as the weeks go on. The "EBWAY FRIDAY" gives us chance to put our company first and use our skills in a way that's more personal to us. It's really amazing.
Since Friday's have become "EBWAY" days we no longer miss out on our own marketing or loose track of our task list. It's a wonderful thing to be able to stay on top of my own business and when we go into the weekend after working on our own company we go into the weekend fulfilled and excited about it. It's a beautiful thing, it really is.
OK. I said all of that to lead into this months special download. This is a list of 96 Quick Wins that you can use to propel your business forward in 2013. But you have to do them. It's not enough to just know about them, you have to commit. Inside the 96 Quick Wins document you'll find tips and how-to's for search marketing, content marketing, blogging, sales, local business and more. We've combined the most important things a business owner can do to generate revenue into a list of action items. Each WIN takes approx one hour, so you could truly change the course of your business within 96 hours. That means that in 12 weeks (8 hours a day / 12 Fridays) you could have the business you always wanted... a profitable one.
Just do it...
Get involved with your business! I love the NIKE slogan "Just Do It." because it's so simple. If you have questions or want some help along the way, just let us know - we're always here to help. Just don't ask us to help you on a Friday :)
